In tackling climate change we need to get our priorities right. Water and food supply must be given top priority in government policy-making. Ross Garnaut says we have a window of opportunity to meet the climate challenge, but it is a small, short-lived one and we need to act quickly. The difficulties are “diabolical”, he says.
