The economy has pushed its way to the top of people’s concerns, but action to address climate change continues to loom large in public opinion.

The task of reducing carbon emissions is a very tough one, for politicians and the rest of us alike, but it is not an impossible one. We need to put our fears aside and take the plunge into a new way of seeing and doing things. In tackling the challenge of climate change we need to abandon old prejudices, cross borders into unfamiliar territory, and speak to our enemies. This is a task for everyone. |
